New camera

Jason and I have been talking about buying a new camera for a few weeks {thanks to tax refunds and Jason's work bonus}. I was getting frustrated with my old camera {the pics were always fuzzy and red eye was horrible!!} and even considered {accidentally} dropping it so I could get a new one {okay, I wouldn't really do that}!

After reading a lot of information, we decided to go with a Digital SLR. I don't know a whole lot about them, just that they are one step up from just a regular point and shot digital camera.

We had pretty much decided to go with the Nikon D40.

And then I found an AWESOME deal online!

I got my new Nikon at Target already on sale {10% off}. And I opened a Target charge card, so I got to use another 10% off coupon!! Because we had already talked about buying a new camera {and had already budgeted for it}, I just turned around and paid the credit card off at the service desk!!{Sneaky, sneaky!!}

I have a feeling it is going to take a while for me to figure this thing out. Yesterday, I was thinking "what did I get myself into" when I was trying to turn on the LCD screen {which I finally figured out}!! I will learn how to work it eventually, it may just take me a week or two{or ten}!

If you think about it today, please say a prayer for my mom. She is having surgery this morning.

Not Me! Monday

I was NOT SUPER excited about being one of the first 100 people to link my Not Me! last week.

I was also NOT excited that I now have 20 followers. I have way too much stuff going on to be excited about 20 followers. I mean…..Mckmama has more than 2000 follows, so 20 is nothing {though I really like ALL 20 of my followers!!!}. Thanks, Mandy, for being #20!

I did NOT once again leave my laundry just hanging around the house in baskets and in the dryer! I am a way better housekeeper than that….and there is no way that I procrastinate so much that last week laundry is still waiting to be put up. I think this may have to be a permanent Not Me!

We did NOT go to the park twice this week because Henry was out of school {This could have something to do with my lack of housekeeping skills. This and my new obsession with blogging!}

I did NOT clean Eli’s highchair {with bleach water and the pressure washer} in my backyard while I still had on my PJ’s. I also did NOT get soaking wet in the process because the power washer sprayed me!!

Sitting pretty...

or should I say HANDSOME!!

Thanks to Jennifer's great advice {and a few minutes with the power washer}, Eli's is sitting in {and enjoying} his highchair!! No more stroller at dinner time for him!!

All I had to buy was a gallon of bleach. I soaked his gross straps in bleach/water for about 30 minutes, and I used some bleach and the pressure washer on the whole chair just to make sure it was nice and clean!!

Now it is as good as new!!
