Just a Little Trim

Eli got his first haircut on Friday!

This is the earliest {he is only 10 1/2 months old} that any of my boys have had their first haircut. Henry was at least 18 months old when I finally got his curly-mess-of-hair cut, and I think Grant was at least a year old before his first trip to Mrs. Niece's. The same lady has done all three of the boys' first haircuts {and every haircut after that too}, and she does a great job!

Eli was very well behaved for his first haircut. He sat quietly in daddy's lap, and only fussed for a minute {but it was nothing the paci couldn't solve!}.
***************************
He started out a little concerned.
Then he got happy for a little while.
Eli was very contemplative...
...a little bored... ...and by the end he wanted his paci {and a sucker} for doing such a great job!

Photo Story Friday: Change of Plans

What do you do when the Splash Pad is being worked on? Swing on the swings...
Sit in your stroller...
Rescue injured birds...
And wait for the water to come on!

MckLinky Blog Hop: SUPER Easy Dinner Recipe

I made this recipe for the first time last week. I have made Chicken and Rice other ways, but this recipe was SUPER easy to make. I liked that I could just dump everything into my casserole dish, turn on the oven, and let it go {with a little stirring here and there}! My boys really liked it, and next time I think I may add in a few mixed veggies to really make this a one pot {or casserole} wonder! INGREDIENTS
6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into bite size pieces
2 cups milk
2 cups uncooked white rice
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 teaspoon seasoned salt

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl combine the milk, rice, soup and seasoned salt if desired. Mix well. Pour mixture into a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Add the chicken pieces.
Cover dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for approximately 90 minutes or until rice is done, stirring every 30 minutes. Uncover the dish and bake for another 15 minutes to allow the rice to brown.

I Heart Faces Week 28 Feet

The theme this week at I Heart Faces is FEET!

This is a picture of just one of Henry's feet on the farm! I took this the day that we went and picked veggies at a local U pick Farm!
