Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere!

Fall weather has made its appearance here in the deep south {again}.

Every time we get a little cool snap, it really puts me in the fall spirit! It makes me want to cook up some Veggie Soup and bake lots of yummy stuff.

It also makes me what to have pumpkins...everywhere!

*********************************

On the breakfast table, just for decorations.

In the pantry, waiting to be used in a SUPER yummy dessert.

In the cabinet, waiting to transform cookie dough into beautiful pumpkin shaped cookies.

On the front porch, sadly uncarved....but still holding pumpkin seeds.

In the craft cabinet, waiting to be decoupaged into {possibly} something beautiful.

Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere!
And a ton of baking and crafting to put me even more in the fall spirit!
Now I just need to find the time, energy, and recipes!

What do you love to do in the fall?

Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
********************************

I did NOT spend Wednesday with Henry

HERE:

{On his school field trip}

************************
I did NOT spend most of the week working on

THIS:

{Henry's fireman costume for Drug Free Week at school}

THIS:

{Grant's hat for Silly Hat Day at preschool}

THESE:
{Magic Wands aka dipped pretzels}

and THESE:
{the boys' Halloween costumes}

I did NOT work on all of those things while baskets and baskets of laundry sat around my house continuing to wrinkle so much that they are {almost} unwearable. I would NEVER work on fun crafty stuff and leave the laundry to be done another day!

I hope everyone had a SUPER fun and safe Halloween!

Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

This week I did NOT realize that I have accidentally been using Jason's toothbrush for the past few weeks. We did NOT both go into the bathroom to brush our teeth at the same time, and I did NOT grab what I thought was my toothbrush. Jason did NOT look at me and say...."Why are you using my toothbrush?" This did NOT continue for a while with us trying to decide who's toothbrush it actually was...it was Jason's!

I did NOT leave yet another basket of clean laundry sitting in the living room all week. I did NOT look at it a few times and think that maybe I should fold it....only to find something else to do so that I could procrastinate folding the clothes just a little bit longer. It is NOT now laundry day again...and those clothes are NOT still sitting in the basket where they started last Monday!

I did NOT lose Eli's paci while we were at the fair on Friday. I did NOT get just a little worried when I realized he had thrown it down and I had no idea where it was. I would NEVER get worried just because we had lost Eli's last paci! We did NOT retrace our steps and Grant did NOT spot it hanging on the rail by one of the rides we had stopped to watch. I was NOT SUPER relieved to have found his paci.

While we were at the fair, I did NOT decide that a funnel cake would make a great dinner for me. I did NOT make my boys eat a hot dog and some nachos {HEALTHY FOOD} before I would share my SUPER yummy funnel cake with them. I would never eat dessert for dinner while I made my kids eat {semi} real food!

Veggie Soup!

Alicia over at More Than Words shared a SUPER yummy recipe for vegetable soup the other day! I had already been craving soup because we have been having some {wonderful} fall weather, but after seeing her yummy recipe I decided I had to make a big pot of veggie soup!

This is not really a 'recipe', I just throw whatever I have at home {this is my typical list of ingredients} into the pot and call it SOUP. I'm sure you could add or take away any veggies that you like or don't like and it would still be SUPER yummy!

VEGGIE SOUP

3/4 pound of ground hamburger, browned
one can of whole kernel corn
one can of green beans
one can of whole tomatoes
one can of tomato sauce
3 or 4 potatoes peeled and cut into 1 in. cubes
handful of baby carrots
one cup of water
season with salt and pepper to taste

Add all the ingredients{before adding the whole tomatoes squish them up with your hands} into a big pot and give them a stir. Cook on medium until all the veggies {I always check the potatoes because they take the longest} are tender. Serve with crackers or some warm cornbread. YUM!

Soccer

We have finished up another SUPER seasons of Upward Soccer.

We {without my camera) attended the Award Celebration last night.

The boys watched a SUPER fun magician, got new Upward soccer balls for awards, and enjoyed soccer themed cupcakes!

We had a great season and a great team!

Unfortunately, because of
rain

forgetfulness

and laziness
I only got a few decent pictures of the boys playing soccer.

Henry warming up before the game.

Grant concentrating hard to kick the ball!

Eli hanging out in his stroller watching the game.
Serious soccer players!
Eli entertained himself with acorns {and snacked on a few too} while Henry and Grant played a double header!
