UPDATE: IT IS SNOWING:)
School is cancelled today.
Our first {that I can remember} ever SNOW DAY!
Yesterday the weather was promising us 2-4 inches of snow....it was supposed to snow here from about 8 am until noon.
That is a big deal, when we haven't seen snow here in at least 12 years.
YEP!
The boys are a little disappointed.
Lots of cold and rain, but NO snow!
The forecast has officially changed to just rain, with the chance of {one} flurry around noon today! The boys are a little disappointed.
Grant said, "I thought we were going to wake up when it was snowing?"
The worst part of it, is that there is snow about an hour north of us....but for some reason it just won't come down far enough south to blanket us with a little bit of the fun white stuff!
So I guess we will be spending our SNOW DAY {with no snow} watching cartoons and packing for our vacation.
At least I know for sure that we will see snow in North Carolina....even if it is made by a machine at the ski resort:)
awww no fun!! i remember being little anticipating waking up to the snow "they" said we were getting...and then it wasn't there. and then we couldn't even HOPE for a snow day!! lol. we got some snow up here the other day, i could try mailing you some of the 'real' stuff...but i'm not so sure how well it would work!
ReplyDeleteOh I am so sorry that you didn't get your snow. Yes, NC will definitely have snow for you. They have been getting hammered.
ReplyDeleteThat is always the pits, especially when you got little ones that are so anxious for the white stuff. If only the weather forecast was a 100% accurate. :-( Have fun packing!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely disappointing for the little ones. We haven't had any snow this year and the girls want some so bad. How exciting, though, that it's almost time for your trip!
ReplyDeleteBoo! IT's such a let down when it's not there when you wake up...but so FUN to look forward to a snow vacation soon! Enjoy your day at home and snuggle up :)
ReplyDeleteYou can come visit us with our 50" of snow if you'd like. lol

LOLOL...a snow machine!!! That is classic!!!
ReplyDeleteBummer! Rain is no fun at all... My 4 year old asked me today... if it starts snowing does that mean Santa is coming back?? HA! We got great snow last year. We don't normally get anything more then a dust. This year it looks like we won't be getting anything.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time on vacation - who cares if it is machine made, it is still FUN FUN FUN!!! :)
Whoo hoo...a snow day! I'm sure you all are excited. Angie in TX is excited for her 12 inches of snow too. Enjoy the fluffy white stuff.
ReplyDeleteYay! Your update says it is snowing! Whoohoo! Take lots of pics!
ReplyDeleteBoo! No snow and no school!? Double boo! It just started coming down here...but I'm glad we still had school today!
ReplyDeleteUgh. Wasn't it frustrating? I made sure to tell the kids all day yesterday that it probably wouldn't snow, just in case. I'd rather them be glad that I was wrong if it actually did snow than upset if I had promised it was going to and then didn't. It was beautiful when it was falling, but then it just stopped. :( Boo, weather man, boo.

ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up at Trendy Treehouse. I am following you now too!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
I am so glad that it is finally snowing in your neck of the woods. Please just keep it down there.
ReplyDeleteThis was the first year that Trey really got disappointed when he would wake up and see no snow. Oh how it makes you want to climb on the roof and dump snow out for the little ones.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Hi following you from Follow Me Friday!
ReplyDeleteWe had that happen to us here in Houston back in Dec. It snowed North of the city, but not south whiches where we live! My boys were bummed too! Cute blog & family!
Bummer...snow is always more fun than rain! HOpe you got enough to have a little bit of fun! My boys are crazy jealous of all the snow that has fallen everywhere but here!! Have a fun vaca!
ReplyDeleteWe left T with her grandparents up here (north of Atlanta) this weekend while we went to a wedding in St. Simon's, GA. Our house got 3+ inches of snow. We froze running in the rain to wedding festivities. BOOOO! :)
