ONE:
We love Krispy Kreme...
not only because their hot donuts are addictive and their sprinkle donuts are fun, but also because they are SUPER generous! Did you know that Krispy Kreme gives kids free donuts for making good grades! How cool is that:) For every A on your child's report card, Krispy Kreme lets them pick out any donut of their choice. We came home with 6 free donuts...and sadly this yummy sprinkle donut is the only one left. I think Henry is saving it for an after school snack:)
We also LOVE Krispy Kreme because of their fun hats that seem to endlessly entertain two year olds. Eli has been wearing his hat nonstop since we got it yesterday after lunch...except when he was sleeping and it was sitting on the table right next to his bed:)
TWO:
Jason spent last weekend and part of this weekend working on a few projects around the house. If I can manage to get a decent picture of the tiny space that is our foyer, I will share the new moldings and 'board and batten' type woodwork that he added. And I also need some advice on the piece of furniture the currently resides in my foyer, so get ready to share your ideas for adding a little pizazz to an old wooden entry table:)
THREE:
Henry and Grant are both escorting girls in our elementary school's pageant in a few weeks. They weren't too keen on the idea at first, but then the promise of a few gifts made them change their minds:) I'm just hoping they don't get stage fright once the lights are shining on them!
FOUR:
It's Monday morning again...which means my house is a wreck! I'm not sure how it always gets this bad over the weekend...there is stuff piled up all over the kitchen, the playroom is a total wreck, the boys need clean uniforms for school tomorrow, and I'm pretty sure there is a layer of dust {some from the construction Jason has been doing} two inches thick in living room! I think I need a Monday morning maid:)
now I'm craving donuts!
ReplyDeleteLOVE those pics of the doughnuts. How cool that y'all got free doughnuts for good grades! We got some free pizzas at Pizza Hut for my kids meeting their reading goals at school. Unfortunately the KK here is pretty gross :( such a bummer because I LOVE KK doughnuts. Especially their Kreme-filled chocolate glaze! Mmmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteWe got some doughnuts from DD on Sunday :) the kids LOVE it so much! It makes for such a nice weekend treat.
Our house is always a HUGE mess Monday mornings too - oh well.
Happy Monday!!
I just licked my computer screen! Those are the BEST donuts on the PLANET!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad we do not have a Krispy Kreme around here. Tim Hortons are amazing though. Can't wait to see the foyer, have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh! That is the most beautiful doughnut I have ever seen! I'm drooling here! How bad is it that I have no idea if we have a Krispy Kreme here? I must look into that.... like today!

good to know...krispy kreme...my kids love donuts so much...they may turn into donuts. haha!!
ReplyDeleteOoo--a Monday morning maid sounds perfect. :) We love Krispy Kreme too! My favorite are their chocolate cake donuts with the sugary icing all over. Dangit. Now I want a donut. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am allergic and can't have Krispy Kreme....but that's ok.....I have other delights in my life! (:>)
ReplyDeleteI remember how Mondays used to be hard...but when you are retired like us...everyday is like the other and Mondays are ok!
You are blessed to have a handy hubby! Hope your project turns out nice.

Love the idea of a Monday morning maid. Maybe that could include Krispy Kreme deliverd while the house gets cleaned!
ReplyDeleteomg krispy kremes are AMAAAAAZING- but can you believe they closed most of their locations here? :(
ReplyDeleteBest donuts ever!!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't get a chance to hardly even touch my house this weekend...and with us being home for most of the weekend, it looks worse than it did on Friday night. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteOf course, now I'm craving a donut.
Oh, man! I know you didn't just give me a craving for Krispy Kreme! :)
ReplyDeleteEvan has those Cars pjs!
Those Krispy Kreme hats not only entertain 2 year olds . . . but they entertain 12 year olds too! Life is more fun when you're a kid!
ReplyDeleteWish we still had Krispy Kreme Donut shops here. Our's closed down. :-(
ReplyDeleteAbout Monday's...is that not the truth! My house was pretty much spotless on Friday afternoon, and today...let's not talk about it. ;-) I think I will make Monday my official cleaning day, and then it will be clean all week for ME.
I didn't know that about Krispy Kreme!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, my house is always a mess on Mondays, too! ;)
Oooh, I love Krispy Kremes! And free too!
ReplyDeleteI am SO with you about the Monday morning maid...I felt the same way this morning. Luckily it's cold and I'll be in the house most of the week to clean it up. Ooh, we love Krispy Kreme too and Jamison and Ron recently went there to see how they make the donuts. yum!!! I can't wait to see what all Jason did in the house. Here's to a smooth week.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I had NO idea that Krispy Kreme did that! I do believe that means a trip to our Krispy K this weekend!! Way to go to your kiddos for getting 6 A's!
ReplyDeleteMy house is a wreck on Mondays! Since I opted to not do any housework at all on Sat and Sun, my Mondays are tremendous!
Mmmmm Krispy Kreme. Great, now I want one!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I completely agree about the house being a wreck Monday morning. It is soooo annoying!
Oh my gosh...I totally didn't know that about Krispy Kreme!!! Oh yah..I know where we're going this weekend..LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I can totally relate about the messy house on Monday!!!!!!
Thanks so much for posting this! We called our KK to make sure they do this and they do so we will go this week! I had no idea they rewarded grades like this! YEA!
ReplyDelete(I will say though at ours they told me it could only be the plain glazed donuts. When I asked if various KK locations do it differently they told me "no, all KK do it the same way". Hmm...I don't think so! :0) You have an extra nice KK by you!
:0)
Mmmmm....those donuts looks so GOOD! If only we had one near us...but probably good they don't! :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute the boys are going to escort girls on stage...Alex would definitely not like that! ha! He was not keen on having a girl for his partner in tennis!
Can't wait to see the projects going on!
We currently have Krispy Kreme in our kitchen too - they are so yummy!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy house is a disaster - I really need to clean but I don't feel like it :(
