Henry's Lunch

This was one of Henry's homework assignments last week. He had to write the sentence and illustrate it. He was very specific about what he had eaten for lunch that day. He even included his sandwich holder and the ziplock bag his carrots were in! I added the labels, just in case you aren't quite sure what everything is!

Henry's Drawing:

Henry's actually lunch: What do your kiddos normally eat for lunch?!?

  1. That's some seriously fabulous detail for a kiddo! :)

T's in daycare, so she eats the lunch they fix there for now. :)

  3. Wow...an awesome artist, and very detail oriented!

Layla's lunch looks pretty similar! Sometimes she gets sick of bread though, so then I do turkey/cheese roll-ups.

  4. What a great artist!!! Jamison's lunch looks pretty much just like that, except she is no longer allowed to take sandwich containers bc she loses them!

  5. How cute is that!!!

My kids eat a variety of things!! Well, they are homeschooled, so it's easy to just make whatever we have.

  7. What a great depiction!

It depends. My kids have hot lunch 4 days a week and then they take a lunch once a week. Sometimes I send them cereal, milk and fruit. Sometimes they get popcorn, fruit and veggies. Often they get a sandwich, chips, and fruit or a big ole pickle. Always they get a treat. Sis is in play practice right now and goes to school at 7:45 and doesn't get home until 7:30pm. I'm packing her lunch AND dinner. Today, for lunch, she has a turkey and lettuce sandwich, doritos, a brownie and apple juice. Dinner is cold pizza and mandarin oranges.

  8. He did such a great job. I love the crusts in the sandwich keeper! How cute is that?? Today Jacob has a turkey sandwich with Doritos, apple, a smoothie/yogurt drink, and his juice.

  9. He did a really good job illustrating it!

I don't have to worry about packing lunches yet, and won't have to until Dylan is in 1st grade.

Lexie's very picky so she only eats macaroni and cheese with chicken nuggets or a turkey dog, or one kind of soup. Dylan will eat anything. His favorites are tuna salad sandwiches, a meat and cheese sandwich with lettuce, and bean soup. His all time favorite is a fruit/veggie/cheese plate. He loves fruits and veggies!

  10. What a great picture! My girls don't love sandwiches every day so sometimes we do big pretzels with apples and chips. Sometimes soup, and on occasion Mac & Cheese or pizza. It just depends :)

  11. Wow, I am very impressed how he got all most everything correct. Love the drawing of the Doritos.
On school days Trey eats in the cafeteria. Then on the days we are home we usually have leftovers or pastas as we both are huge pasta eaters but daddy is not.
Hope you have a great day!

  12. That is GREAT...he did an awesome job! I love it! Alex eats Lunchables almost every day...unless there is a lunch at school he likes which is rare! At home he eats hot dogs/mac n cheese/ grilled cheese...he's not the best eater...Emily and I eat out almost every day! haha! Guess we're not the best eaters either! Or pb&j :)

  13. My kids are not the healthiest lunch eaters. They have bacon or salami because they won't eat a sandwich. Yougart, fresh fruit, juice box & a canned fruit.
Cute picture. He did a great job.
