Miscellany Monday Morning Blues

I made a huge mess on the floor in my kitchen while trying to make myself a snack last week. I ended up throwing away all of the spilled food because Jason had just sprayed for ants {who by the way are completely evil and will take over your house if you leave it unattended for a week}!

Can you tell what I spilled?!?

I'm taking Eli back to the ENT today for a check-up on his ears. I'm hoping everything is okay...he has taken more than a few accidental underwater dips in the pool this summer even though his ears aren't supposed to get wet. Henry is tagging along too for a consult on his tonsils/adenoids. That child snores like a bear...and I didn't realize how bad it was until we all slept in the same hotel room in Atlanta.

I tried on and order my bridesmaids dress for my friend's wedding in September. All I could think about the whole time was the movie 27 Dresses and how ugly and outrageous all the bridesmaid dresses were. Thankfully, the dress my friend picked out is pretty cute:)

Someone tweeted last week that their kiddos started school in 3 1/2 weeks. I thought they were crazy...then I looked at the calendar! We start back in 3 weeks and 4 days from today. It seems like the summer has just flown by...and we still have vacation coming up before school starts back!

  2. Summer goes too fast! Don't you think it is shorter than when we were kids? We got out around Memorial Day and didn't go back till Labor day. Now some kids go 2 weeks into June and start 2 weeks into August!

  4. Oh, ants like to come visit us too ;( We would find them alot near our front door and in the laundry room by the cat food...and i'm sure the kids leaving their messes all over the floor has nothing to do with it! Hope the appointment goes well today! And I can't believe how soon school starts too! It doesn't seem fair! Our kids go back Aug. 16th, on a Monday! That will seem like the longest week!

Btw...I love that movie! Although I do agree, those dresses were just ugly! Glad your getting to wear a pretty one.

Glad you joined this, I had never seen it before so I decided to go over and join up too.

  8. I think all bridesmaid dresses are evil. LOL I picked out 2 piece dresses for my bridesmaids. they all had the same skirt, but each had a different top that fit them well. It worked out nicely.

    Good luck at the ENT!

  11. Did you drop blueberries? That what that looks like to me. I hope all goes well at the checkup today and you get some good answers for both boys. 27 Dresses was a fun movie and yes, those dresses were terrible, glad you lucked out. Three weeks...wow! Jamison starts back in 6...still, I can't believe summer is almost over.

HOPE the boys get taken care of. P.S. My kids go back Aug. 11th. They got out Early May.. it truly had flown... but I HEART Fall, and can't wait to decorate for Halloween. This year has flown by, and I can't believe how fast time flies... only when you are an adult! I thought holidays took ages to come when I was young. NOT ANYMORE. Have a great week. Jenn

  23. Ants seriously aren't they just awful! We have someone that comes & sprays every 3 months but I swear they make their way in & pop up in the most unusual places. So odd & so gross those darn things are! My oldest starts preschool this year... she doesn't start till the end of September though.

  24. Are those blueberries?
I don't think there is anything worse in the house than ants. I just feel as though I need to pour bleach all over just to clean up from those little pains in the neck. So far we haven't had any ant visitors this year.
    Have a fabulous day!
