Photography Class Shots

{Cloudy Day 1}{Cloudy Day 2}
{Sunny Day 1}
{Sunny Day 2}

I am taking a {photography} continuing education class through the local community college. It is a four week class that teaches the basics of photography and how to use your camera. So far I have learned some great tips and tricks, and I have added a ton of things to my photography wish list!
These are some of the shots from last week's homework assignment! The teacher {a local photographer} said that the middle two shots were my best.
So far I still have a lot of questions, but next week some professional are coming in help us learn all the functions of our camera! I am hoping to learn a lot during that meeting.
Have you ever taken a photography class, or do you just learn from experience?!?

They're all GREAT pictures, but I love the 'sunny day 1' picture. That little grin is just adorable!

Great job Kelli! How fun that you're taking a class and getting some good tips. I do love the 3rd picture a lot. I'm still trying to figure out my camera.

I agree- the middle two are your best. They have lighting in them that makes the boys faces glow.

When I get my DSLR I may have to consider taking a class too.

I just fake it most days, but the more time I spend trying to get great pictures (and reading the blogs of people with amazing camera skills), the more I want to find a class and learn some stuff. :)

Oh, and those are GREAT pictures (all four of them).

I would LOVE to learn more about my camera. I bought it with the best of intentions....yet I still take yucky pics. :( I have to admit that the Pioneer Woman's tutorials have helped me somewhat though. :)
Pic #3 is my fave! :)

So jealous of your photography class!
I need to take a class and learn more about what I am doing...I'm real good at just snapping randomness. It would be nice to know what I'm doing :)

Oh, man that sounds like something fun to do. You did a great job with the photos. I'd love to be able to take pictures like that. I don't have a fancy camera. It's a Kodak Easyshare. I don't even know if photos like that are possible with a little point and shot. Thanks for stopping by today :o)
