{This is a repost of my advent calendar from last year.}
I have been wanting a cute advent calendar for a few years. We had the cheap felt one from Walmart for a few years, but it wasn't nearly as cute as it could have been....so I decided to make my own. I did a little research online, and I got a ton of inspiration from other blogs and from Etsy! I took a few of the ideas that I found and mixed them all up and came up with my own advent calendar.
I hit up Hobby Lobby for
a canvas
wedding favor tins
scrapbook paper
and
a painted star
I already had some stuff at home
fabric
rick rack
mod podge
and
hot glue
I started by cutting out a lot of circle...48 to be exact.
24 without numbers for the inside of the tins.

You are a Supermom!
Now off to find the mod-podge...
That is so stinking cute. What a fabulous idea. We just do paper chains at our house. BORING.
Kelli, that is adorable!!! Love the pretty patterns. :)
soo cute!
You're so flippin creative! Come over here and make me some cool stuff!
I knew at the very beginning of this post that this was going to be one cute project...and it was! I feel just like Dee...your flippin creative. ;-)
I remember this from last year and the reminder is just as cute! Mine from last year didn't make it (I think the pieces were too heavy for my canvas) and I didn't get it together to make another. I do think we're going to have some activities as a countdown though. Have fun with your countdown.
I remember this from last year too and I still love it. My socks are hung ready to begin tomorrow.
I love this tutorial...such a fun craft!
