A Yummy Treat

A while back my blog friend Angie posted some pictures of a SUPER easy and SUPER yummy treat she made for her SUPER cute kiddos. Her treats inspired me to make these really fun Nilla Wafer Ice Cream Sandwiches! All you need is Nilla Wafers, ice cream, and sprinkles!

Lay out two Nilla Wafers.

Add a small scoop of ice cream to one of the Nilla Wafers.

Let your helpers pitch in by adding the other Nilla Wafer on top of the ice cream.

Then roll your yummy ice cream sandwich in sprinkles.

Ideally, you would place your Nilla Wafer Ice Cream Sandwiches in the freezer for about an hour to harden up the ice cream...but my boys found them irresistible and ate one each before the rest of them made it to the freezer:)

Ohhh yum!

Everything is better with sprinkles. I always seem to forget about them, but Layla doesn't! She will love adding them to our nilla/frosting sandwiches.

We will be trying your ice cream version very soon...way cooler on a hot summer day.

Have a great weekend my friend :o)

fun fun!! coolwhip inbetween those little Oreo wafers (the ones in the 100 cal packs) is a fun little snack, too.

Great Idea! Blue Bell is the best but I'm a bit biased being I'm from the town it is made in!!

Just adorable! I bet if they get some time in the fridge the cookie softens up a bit, just like a real ice cream sandwich.... Yum!!!

Yummy - I have made these with icing but never ice cream.

What a cute little treat, not only for kids, but a low cal snack for grown-ups too - if you could eat only one.

I'm new to your blog but have to say it is so cute. I make these same things with the reduced fat wafers and Cool Whip Lite and still splurge on the sprinkles and/or nuts - I figure even a girl trying to lose weight deserves treats too!

Sprinkles make the world better and so does ice cream. The perfect bite size piece of sunshine!
